Aaaaarrrgghh!

I spent the day today listening to a guy who added the letter "r" to words that didn't have an "r" and removed the "r" from words that were supposed to have an "r". And no, he wasn't a pirate! (And no, I'm not, either!)

Aaaarrgghh!

Here's a list of a few of the words and how they were pronounced:

drawer = "draw"

error = "era"

operator = "operayta"

ought to = "otter"

It took me a while to figure out that he wasn't yelling at me to draw an otter! Ok, just kidding, I made that last part up! He was actually just giving a presentation... all. day. long.

Oh, and he's from Boston, that's why he talks like a pirate. Did a lot of pirates settle in Massachusetts back in the day?

Fun fact: Pirates of the Carribean was my favorite Disney ride when I was a kid!
