Definitely not a New Year’s Resolution

So, since Monday’s early-morning fluke, (see "5th day of the New Year" under my last post) I’ve had a hard time making it to work on time. Today I did ok, but Tuesday and Wednesday didn’t go so well.

Tuesday morning I woke up at 8:12.

I’m supposed to leave my house at 8:00 so I can be at my desk by 8:30.
Let’s just say it didn’t happen. See, because I’d woken up at 5:00am Monday morning, I'd turned my alarm off so that it wouldn’t go off at 7:00am and play music all day long.
I usually don’t turn my alarm off. I mean, I turn the music off when it goes off each morning but then it’s already set for the next day, I don’t have to turn it on again. (Get it?) Well, this time, I turned it OFF-off. So, it wasn’t set to come on the next day. Hence (I love that word) it didn’t go off and I was late to work. In 10 minutes I was out the door with no shower & no makeup. I did brush my teeth and get dressed, and I put my makeup on in the car (don’t tell the po-po, or my dad)! Even with the extra hour of sleep I got I was SO tired the whole day. I was way too spoiled with my sleeping-in-til-10 (& taking an afternoon nap) every day over the holiday break.

Wednesday I was just pure lazy. I hit the snooze twice and left the house 10 minutes late, so I got to work at 8:35.

This morning, however, I hopped slithered out of bed right at 7:00 7:03. I left the house 2 minutes early and pulled into the parking lot at 8:17. Much better, eh? I even had time to pack breakfast AND a lunch. It's amazing what you can accomplish in the morning when you get up at a decent hour.

PS. 7:00am (NOT 5:00am) is considered a "decent" hour.

I agree that 7:00 is decent, I wish my kids did.
