I headed up the coast and on my way I ran into some interesting things. It seems the folks around here enjoy erecting large billboards of themselves or loved ones. Here are a few:
I don’t understand this strange phenomenon. It kinda creeps me out.It took about 3 hours from where I was staying in Santa Maria but I finally made it through all the rain to Monterey, CA. AND I AM IN LOVE!!!
What a cute town! I’ve gotta plan a return trip, and bring some girls with me who love to shop. (Any volunteers?) More details on Monterey to come! (I hope the anticipation doesn’t kill you!)

I'm there! Except, don't be surprised when Evan stows away in my luggage. He's wanted to go with me to the Monterey Bay Aquarium for 6 years now.
