So, here it is:
I won the women's nail-driving contest at my family reunion this year.
I know, can you believe it?!
You know, it’s where you have to hammer a nail into a board faster than the other competitors. I wasn’t going to participate. I didn’t want to embarrass the other competitors, since we are related and all. (Or maybe it was my pride I didn’t want to embarrass.) But then the challenge was issued. Nobody from my Grandma’s line was stepping up to the plate and apparently last time this was done (maybe in the ‘50s) my Grandma was the reigning champion. So, I nobly decided to defend her title.
Anyways, after some intense stretching the game was on… and then over in the blink of an eye. It was declared a “tie” even though it was SO NOT a “tie” so we had to do a “tie-breaker” and I smoked that old lady. Ok, the competition was not all that tough. I was the only entry between the ages of 15 and 60 who weighed more than 100 pounds.
Wait, hold everything, I seem to be missing something…
Oh, yeah,… My sister got married last week!!!
I have no pictures of my own as things were awfully busy and the time flew by. Luckily my awesome friend, Wendy, was there to snap a few shots so until I get all the pictures from the photographer here’s a few eye-candy shots for you to enjoy!
Just before the ceremony (the vain side of me just wants to point out that I had just finished doing the bride's hair and had yet to do my own, that's why it may appear a little... shall we say... flat):
During the ceremony (Robin tried putting the ring on Tevita's right hand to which he responded "wrong hand" and my cousin, Clark, the one marrying them, responded, "It's ok, this is your first wedding... and better be your last!":
After the ceremony (pretty bouquet, eh? Oh, yeah, and the dress, of course!):
The entire wedding party:
And while I’m very, VERY grateful for the pictures, just remember, Wendy was not the “paid” photographer and was rushing around trying to get the pictures, that’s why a few may seem a “little” blurry! (Thanks, Wendy!)

Aah, Robin is so gorgeous. Happy day! Your hair is always perfect, Brooke, so I don't know what you're complaining about. ;-)
And by the way, you are the best wedding photographer I've ever seen. ;-) You should go into business. All the shots you did for our big day were perfect! I love you, Brookie.
She did it! She did it!! that is so cool. Sarah got married to ya know. you aren't the only one with a little sister who recently got married. Sorry I never got to see you while I was in Utah. But as you probably know too well - weddings are CRAZY busy time and so I pretty much did the wedding the whole week. But I love you! And way to go on the nail driving thing btw. :-)
